During our induction we were asked to create a short film using cartoon drawings on a whiteboard. I thought it was really fun and because we worked as a group I got to know some new people. The storyline we made was really random but funny. The only problem with our whiteboard movie was that when we watched the final piece it was hard to work out what the storyline was because it was too fast.
The next day we were asked to bring in a 400ml beer can which really confused me. In the end it was so that we could use it to create a camera! We created a lid for the can and poked a pinhole into the can and covered it up with tape to make sure it was pitch black inside the can. We went into the red room and placed some film into the can leaving a gap where the pinhole was. This was difficult because of how dark the room was! Then I decided to go to the park totake my picture. Once I had decided on what I wanted a photo of I removed the black tape covering the pinhole for 8 seconds in order to let the light reach the film inside the can. After 8 seconds I covered the hole back up and went back to the red room where I placed the film into chemicals which developed my photo! I was really pleased with the outcome and everyone said mine looked like a fairytale land :) x
