Wedding DVD menu
Wedding DVD I created for my aunty and uncle after recording some film at their wedding. This is the menu page I created on After Effects. The first link is to their dance. When I filmed it the sound wasn't very clear so I downloaded the track from youtube and placed it in the background so it was clearer.
Then there is a slideshow of all the photos from the day which lasts for 15minutes with 5 different soundtracks of songs that are associated with my aunty and uncle and weddings.
- Bruno Mars - Marry you (played on their way to the ceremony in car)
- Abba - I do (Song from footsies favourite film 'Muriels wedding')
- Shania Twain - You're still the one (The song they danced to at wedding)
- Abba - Dancing queen (Played during photos of people on dance floor, also a song my aunty loves)
- Barbara Streisand - Unexpected places (They met in an 'unexpected palces'... they were neighbours!)
The final link 'the extra' is footage from the wedding that I filmed of everyone on the dance floor having fun.
I enjoyed making it and my aunty loved it so I was happy with what I had made :)
Main menu for DVD portfolio
I wanted to have a practise using Adobe Encore to create a DVD portfolio, even though I will mostly use my on-line portfolio (eportfoliotash@moonfruit.com). This is the menu page which links on to four examples of films I have been involved with. I created it on After Effects first then used it on encore in order to create a Moving title page.
2029 Fashion Film
A Fashion Film created to represent dystopia in 2029. I created this film for a final year fashion student, Charlotte Dennis, for her final show. I was inspired by Gareth Pugh. After effects and Premiere Pro were used to create this film and was edited within five hardworking days. My roles were Cinematographer and Editor. I also played a huge role in storyboarding the film and helping with ideas to tell the story of time travel to 2029, dystopia and most importantly to showcase the garments. It is the first fashion film ever to be made by a student at the university and the film was so successful it is used as an example for future fashion students attending Nottingham Trent University.

Emmanuel House Documentary
This documentary is one of my proudest projects. As director I decided to create a feel of realism in the film and keep the raw texture to the film. I was also majorly involved in the edit and helped create the title sequence. From interviewing the users myself I really felt involved in the issues of Emmanuel House and felt that our crews sympathy really brought out the best in the people there. I created the timeline for the documentary and scripted the commentary.
Robin hood title sequence
My aim was to create a title sequence for Ridley Scott's Robin Hood movie. I wanted Robin to look heroic. From researching title seqeunces for films such as batman and spiderman i was inspired to contrast real image against computer-generated images to create a sequence of a routine. Using Adobe After Effects and Premiere I have created a suspenseful, exciting title sequence.

Im just finishing my CV to go on to my online portfolio. However word has frozen so I decided to come on here and let people know what i've been up to! i spent not last weekbut the week before focusing on my Title Sequence. I rented out a costume and shot my friend Glen putting it on against the green screen in Waverley building. There were some wrinkles in the curtains, and it wasn't until thursday's seminar at uni that i realised how important it is to NOT have wrinkles!! However from using 'video co pilot' I learnt how to use after affects and cut out the green screen as much as you can and as time consuming as it was it was pretty simple. I was literally in uni 10-7 everyday that week just working on the edit. Currently this weekend i've been ill with a really severe cold and sickness but managed to get back into uni today to find that our edit isn't as completed as i'd hoped for. However we all decided to split up the edit and focus on a subject each, I think leaving the edit to one person is abit harsh, and this way we can all work in the same room and more opinions are better than one! I wanted to continue my title sequence essay tonight, however I left my hard drive at uni! I left quite late though and should be going in fairly early tomorrow so fingers crossed its still there!! I've already analysed three title sequences and got ideas from them for my own, however I haven't put it all together to form a formal essay which i plan to do tomorrow night.

Documentary project
Our documentary project had to be based around the subject 'House'. Our group decided to base it around the Emmanuel homeless shelter because that is a house/home to some people in Nottingham. Emmaunel house provides practical assistance, enables people access to appropriate services, offers support to peopleof all ages (16 and over) and is used alot by the 'homeless & vulnerable'. We went to visit them and found out they are being closed down by the end of march due to government cuts. They were really keen for us to base our documentary around them in order to create awareness about there issues. We can't wait to get started to help them out as much as possible. Luckily for us we were told the users of Emmanuel are 'good talkers' and are happy to be interviewed. I think this will really put a strong message across to nottingham to see the homeless and vulnerable really speaking out to try and save this shelter.
Robin Hood Title Sequence
I have decided i'm going to base my title sequence around robin putting his gear on. Im going to use extreme close up shots ending with an long shot of robins full outfit. I plan to create a gritty dark style of Robin hood which is similar to how Robin is portrayed in the Russel Crowe film. I want to add music which builds up suspense and gets louder and louder until the finale of robin hood standing tall and proud. I want to set the scene in a forest due to the obvious main location of robin hood is in a forest.
Here is a link to the batman forever opening scene where batman is putting on his costume, It is similar to how i want to create my title sequence: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WPSEDXw4ilc
