Run Lola Run was made in 1998 by Tom Twyker. The plot is basically about a woman who needs to get 100,000 deutsche marks in 20 minutes in order to save her boyfriend's life. In the film she fails her first attempt at this and while she is dying the film suddenly rewinds itself and she has a second chance to get the money. Then this carries on throughout the film and she keeps retrying to get the money in the quickest way possible! This film is significant to me because as much as it entertained me I was also amazed at the structure and editing of the film. Everything in the background needs to stay the same in each of Lolas attempts however because she changes her actions the mise en scene has to change aswell. I liek the editing in the film, for example the colour red is predominant above all the other colours which I intend to do in my pixelation project. It looks cool and makes the props and people stand out more that are most important to the story. The film consists of lots of slowmotion scences and fast motion which gives the film pace and excitement. There is also one scene in the film where they use a cartoon version of Lola. The fact pace music really builds up the excitement within in the film aswel. I love how the film shows that in life anything can happen regarding to your actions. Another film I appreciate is The Butterfly Effect which uses a similar idea. Here is the trailer I recommend this film to anyone... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HkoaszTrHFE

I initially got my idea from an interavtive game I shamefully played when I was younger called 'Maximum ToyBoy'. In the game you date a boy and you have choices of what you want to say. You usually have 3 choices which each lead to a different outcome.

This is Kate. The aim of my interactive Narrative is to successfully chat up Kate and I will provide various chatup lines in which the user can click on to lead to different scenarios and reactions from Kate! I drew her with pencil, then drew an outline around her using a black fine liner. These are just photos ive taken of my work which i've edited so I can fill the gaps with different colours. This is just a tester, I will scan my final pictures in and use photoshop to edit them so they will hopefully look better with more colours!
Design Process...

Step1> Familiarise with the program Flash

Step2> Create a practise interactive narrative

Step3> Create a brainstorm with some ideas

Step4> Get feedback from people of my ideas

Step5> Decide which idea I think is best

Step6> Finalise narrative

Step7> Draw pictures and upload them to Photoshop

Step8> Edit photos then upload them to Flash

Step9> Link all the pictures together in order using actions (F9)

Step10> Finish any touch ups
